Electrical/Control Systems CAN System Service/Computer Connection J1939 Data Connector The electrical system uses the SAE J1939 standard for Controller Area Network (CAN) communication and diagnostics. A J1939 data port (P, Fig. 547) is provided on the bottom of the left joystick console, for computer diagnostic/configuration connectivity.

The Eaton Diagnostic Kit [Manitou # 50301947] connects to the J1939 data connector and provides real-time telemetry information useful for troubleshooting compact track loader electronic propel and loader system functions. Refer to “Electronics Diagnostic Kit” on page 311 for more information.
CAN/Computer Connection Harnesses Service Adapter Harness
Service adapter harness (Fig. 548) [Manitou part # 50291685] is required to connect a computer to CAN system control modules. It provides a connection bridge between J1939 data connector (Fig. 547) and other computer connection harnesses dedicated to specific areas in the CAN system: C1
