29.Lower the ROPS/FOPS according to “Lower ROPS/FOPS” on page142.

30.If the machine is equipped with air conditioning: a.Discharge and recover air conditioning refrigerant. a.Disconnect the condenser fan connector (B, Fig. 411) from the main harness connector. b.Disconnect air conditioning supply (C, Fig. 3) and return (D) lines from the condenser.

31.Support engine compartment cover (A, Fig. 413) using an appropriate lifting device.

32.On both sides of the engine compartment cover: a.Remove nut (B) securing support strut (C), and disconnect support strut from engine compartment cover (A). b.Remove spring clip (D) and pin (E), and remove engine compartment cover (A).

NOTE: Label all electrical connectors and note their locations to ensure correct installation.

NOTE: Cap and plug lines to prevent contamination.

33.Disconnect engine compartment access door harness (F, Fig. 414) from main harness (G).

37.Support engine compartment access door (I, Fig. 411) using an appropriate lifting device.

34.Remove harness retainer (H) from radiator shroud (X).

35.Disconnect engine compartment access door harness (F, Fig. 409) from the windshield washer pump.

38.Remove engine compartment access door harness (F) from the engine compartment, and secure the harness to the door.

39.Remove locknut (J, Fig. 417), screw (K), and 2 washers (L) from the upper door mount.

36.Remove the harness retainer (H) from radiator shroud (X).

40.Remove locknut (M, Fig. 418), screw (N), and 2 washers (O) from the lower door mount.

41.Lift latch pin (Z) and close, but do not latch, the engine compartment access door (I).

42.Lift the engine compartment access door just high enough for pins (P, Fig. 419) to clear the brackets (Q), and remove the door.

NOTE: The door is heavy. A hoist or other similar lifting device is recommended when removing the door.

IMPORTANT: There is a fiber washer (R, Fig. 415) located between the door and frame brackets.

43.Remove fiber washer (R, Fig. 420) from the upper and lower door mounting brackets (Q).
