Hydrostatic Charge Pressure Test and Adjustment
IMPORTANT: Start with a pressure gauge rated for a higher pressure than required, and move to lower-pressure gauges as needed. Gauges will be damaged if the pressure exceeds the capacity of the gauge.
The hydrostatic pump charge pressure test port (S, Fig. 525) is located under the ROPS/FOPS. On later machines, it is located on the right at the back of the pump. On early machines, it is located on the left near the front of the pump.

NOTE: Install tee fittings as required to connect pressure gages. Gauge to measure charge pressure can be installed directly at charge pressure test fitting (V, Fig. 524).
Measure the values with the machine at operating temperature and at high idle. Carefully drive the machine against an immovable object, such as a tree.

CAUTION
1. Complete the mandatory safety shutdown Procedure. See “Mandatory Safety Shutdown Procedure” on page 22.
The machine has an extremely powerful track drive. Use extreme caution when driving the machine against an immovable object.
