11 Operation – ISOBUS Terminal 11.3 Manual control – Only lower the running gear, if the rotors are raised at least to headland height.
11.3.2 Activating manual control The swather can be operated fully manually with the terminal. The valves are controlled individually in manual mode. Manual mode should be used only in emergency situations to rescue the machine. This function can also be used for repair and service work. Danger! When raising/lowering the rotors, make sure that nobody is in the pivoting area. There is a risk of injury. – Direct all persons out of the danger area. – Switch off the machine at once, if necessary. Never work on the machine while the tractor's engine is running. – Switch off the engine. – Remove the ignition key. If the control unit is in the manual mode, all safety devices are disabled.
• Drive tractor with attached machine to a level place and place wheel chocks to prevent the tractor from rolling.
• Open hydraulic valves for the rear rotors. • Raise the machine completely with the three-point linkage (lower link).
• Switch hydraulic system to pressure. • Release foot and parking brake. • Turn the terminal on. See the operator's manual of the terminal being used or Switching on/off the CLAAS Communicator, see page 69. Press the “Soft Key”. (Fig. 30)
