41 11.4 Basic setting (initialisation)

After repairs to the sensors, stroke measuring cylinders or a malfunction in the control unit, the basic settings must be restored (initialised). In the initialisation mode, the control system learns the individual end stops. At the same time the settings for the headland position are reset to the basic values.

Danger!

Never work on the machine while the tractor's engine is running. – Switch off the engine. – Remove the ignition key.

Attention!

Blocked wheels on the swather can lead to damage of the swather's running gear, because the running gear cannot be swivelled. – Release parking brake on the tractor and on the rotary swather. – Do not operate the foot brake.

Before starting with initialisation, the following conditions must be met: • The tractor with hitched machine must stand on level ground.

Hitching the machine –see Hitching the machine, page29. • Wheel chocks placed to prevent tractor from rolling. • Shut-off valves for rear rotors on longitudinal member are open –see Opening the shut-off valve for the rear rotors (only applies up to Serial

No. 60501857), page35. • PTO shaft disengaged. • Raise the machine with the three-point linkage (lower link) completely. • Hydraulic system switched to pressure. • Foot brake and parking brakes released.
