33 9.7 Working position with operating terminal

Danger!

When raising/lowering the rotors, make sure that nobody is in the pivoting area. There is a risk of injury. – Direct all persons out of the danger area. – Switch off the machine at once, if necessary. – If necessary, interrupt the control unit with the “STOP” key(1) (Fig.32). Never work on the machine while the tractor's engine is running. – Switch off the engine. – Remove the ignition key.

Attention!

In transport position the PTO shaft must not be switched on, otherwise the PTO drive and the universal drive shafts may be damaged. – Do not engage the PTO shaft before the machine has reached at least the headland position!

Attention!

Blocked wheels on the swather can lead to damage of the swather's running gear, because the running gear cannot be swivelled. – Release parking brake on the tractor and on the rotary swather. – Do not operate foot brake.

• Never actuate the foot brake and/or the parking brake while extending or retracting the running gear. • If necessary, secure the tractor with wheel chocks to prevent it from rolling. • Release foot brake and parking brake. (Fig.33)

Switch on the control unit.

Proceed as follows: • press this key about 3seconds – the green signalling LED(2) light up.

Press the “Working Position” key.

–The machine is automatically adjusted to the working position (max. working width). –The outriggers are extended to the max. working width.

Extension to the max. working width can be interrupted with this key.

Note!

Every time the control unit is switched on again, the key “Working position” or “Transport position” must always be pressed first. Only then can the other keys be used.

Note!

STOP key –Emergency OFF button STOP Press this button in an emergency.

Every procedure can be interrupted by means of this button.

Caution!

Do not adjust to less than the minimum working width –see Minimum working width, page125.

Caution!

Do not engage the PTO shaft before the machine has reached at least the headland position.
