MAINTENANCE/ADJUSTMENTS
REPLACING A HYDRAULIC BREAKER (optional) STEP 1
STEP 4 Remove the retaining hardware (this can vary depending on the mounting arrangement). STEP 5 Remove the connecting rod/hydraulic breaker linkage pin and the dipper/ hydraulic breaker linkage pin. STEP 6
STEP 2 Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key. Release all pressure in the hydraulic system. See “Releasing pressure in the hydraulic system” in the “Lubrication/Filters/Fluids” Section.
Operate the machine controls to free the hydraulic breaker. STEP 7 Remove the lifting ring hole plug and install the lifting ring, see “Handling the hydraulic breaker” in the “Operating Instructions” Section.
Installation

Place the hydraulic breaker laying on hard, flat ground.

Removal

Use the attachment controls to engage the dipper in the hydraulic breaker.
Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key. Release all pressure in the hydraulic system. See “Releasing pressure in the hydraulic system” in the “Lubrication/Filters/Fluids” Section. STEP 3 CP99F001
Place a receptacle of suitable capacity under the hydraulic lines. Close the shutoff valves (for opening or closing the circuit) on the lines, if fitted. Disconnect the hoses from the tubes. Plug if necessary.
Install the dipper/hydraulic breaker linkage pin. Place a receptacle of a suitable capacity under the hydraulic lines. Connect the hoses to the hydraulic breaker.
