OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: Follow the operating instructions given in this section. Do not use this machine for any other application or purpose without the prior approval of the manufacturer.

-Before travelling on the road, lock the attachments and install the safety systems required by regulations. Raise the stabilizers (if fitted) completely and immobilize them using the lock pins and split pins located in the tool box. The stabilizer pads must be in the swivel position. Raise the dozer blade (if fitted) and immobilize it using the lock pin and split pin located in the tool box. The machine’s overall dimensions must be within those specified in local road regulations. -Before travelling on the road, make sure that the load on each axle, depending on the machine configuration, conforms to the road traffic regulations of the country concerned. -(Specific for Germany), when travelling on the road, machines equipped with

CASE clamshells must be driven without these tools. You must remove these tools before travelling on the road. -Check that the lights and signalling equipment are in proper working order. -Check that the brakes and steering are working properly. -Check the condition of the tyres and tyre pressure. -All road travel must be undertaken in forward drive, with the operator’s compartment over the front wheels, with the upperstructure swing locked and the cab door closed and securely fastened. -The front axle must be unlocked when travelling. -Before driving on the job site, raise the stabilizers (if fitted) and the dozer blade (if fitted) completely. -Be alert and always know the location of all other workers in your area. Keep all other persons completely away from the machine. Serious injury can result if these instructions are not followed. -Locate the position of any underground pipes or conduits before starting work.

Electrical cables, gas pipes, water pipes or other underground installations can cause serious injury. -Always make allowance for working conditions (sloping or rough ground), the road surface and weather conditions when driving.

-On steep sloping ground, keep the engine at maximum speed. -When driving at right angles to a slope, turn the attachment toward the lower side of the slope, keeping the bucket close to the ground. -When driving in the same direction as the slope, move onto the slope in job site speed and adjust the travel speed using the travel control lever. Never reduce engine speed when going down slopes. -Holes, obstacles, piles of rubble and other potential sources of danger on the job site can cause serious injury. Inspect and identify all possible risks before operating the machine in a new work area. -When working near overhead high voltage electric lines, you must keep a safe working distance from the lines. The minimum distances to be respected are as follows: -Under 57 000 volts: 3 meters. -Over 57 000 volts: 5 meters.
