D-1. Lift arm fails to rise or is slow to rise.
Measure rising time of lift arm When a user complains that the lift arm is slow to rise, first measure the time required for the lift arm to rise to the specified height in order to determine whether the user feels the lift arm motion to be slow or it is really slow due to malfu nction. 1. Measure the time required to move up the lift arm from ground level to the maximum height, in accordance with the description in the section of measurement of system performance.
