Parking Brake Capacity

Summary:

1. The parking brake capacity is measured on the specified slope.

2. The parking brake capacity test is a maintenance item. Be sure to perform this test.

3. In regards to parking brake, its performance on slope with 20 % (11.31 degrees) inclination is specified in the regulation for special small vehicle,“Load Vehicles Act - Safety Criteria.”

Preparation:

1. After climbing the slope, turn the parking brake switch ON.

2. Stop the engine.

3. After the machine stops, put a mark line on a tire and the slope surface.

4. 5 minutes later, measure distance from the mark line on the slope surface to the marked tire.

Evaluation:

Refer to the Performance Standard Table
