COMPONENT OPERATION / AXLE
・Final Gear
The torque from differential is transmitted to the final gear through the sun gear (3). The speed is reduced to increase the torque and then the torque is transmitted to the wheel.
Operation planetary gears
The sun gear (3) meshes with the three planetary gears (5) and the planetary gears (5) mesh with the internal gear (6). The three planetary gears (5) are installed to the gear case (7) by the shafts (4) and the internal gear (6) is held to the housing through the pins.
When the torque from the differential rotates the sun gear (3), the planetary gears (5) rotate on the internal gear (6) while they rotate on the shafts (4). The rotation of the planetary gears (5) on the internal gear (6) drives the shaft (4) together with the gear case (7) to rotate the wheel.
COMPONENT OPERATION / BRAKE
・Service brake Service brake is operated
1.When the brake pedal (1) (either right or left) is depressed, the inching valve (2) operates to stop the HST pump from sending oil. Consequently the driving force is cut and the braking force is created. (HST Braking Function)
2.When the brake pedal (1) is further depressed, the push rod (3) operates to push the piston of the master cylinder (4). The oil pressure created by the piston is sent to the chamber (5) and pushes the piston (6) of brake assembly in the reduction gear box.
3.The service brake piston (6) is therefore moved, and the wet disk brakes (7) are pressed to create thte braking force.
The stop lamp switch (8) is also turned ON and so the stop lamp is turned ON.
