COMPONENT OPERATION / BRAKE

< Parking brake is released >

1.When the parking brake switch (9) is pushed to turn it off, pressurised oil is sent from HST inching valve to the parking brake cylinder chamber (11) by the parking brake solenoid valve.

2.he force of pressure raised oil in the chamber (11) overcomes the force of the spring (13) and moves the parking brake piston (12) to the right. Consequently the service brake piston becomes free and releases the wet disk brake (7).

COMPONENT OPERATION / BRAKE

・ How to Toe

How to tow a vehicle (in an emergency)

The parking brake is released by pressure raised oil. Therefore, when the engine is not running the parking brake cannot be released, because oil pressure to release parking brake is not created. When the engine cannot be operated and the machine is to be towed, the parking brake can be released manually.

Do not tow a vehicle by compulsory (manual) release of the parking brake except in an emergency.

1.Remove the bolt ① (M10 x L55).

2.Remove the plug ②

3.Install and tighten the bolt ① to the port B where the above plug ② has been removed.

The parking brake piston is pulled and it becomes released position so the vehicle can be moved.

・Short circuit of HST pump hydraulic circuit

1.Loosen relief valves (2 locations) three times to cause short circuit between the high and low pressure sides.

Do not loosen more than three times to avoid oil leaks.

COMPONENT OPERATION / BRAKE

・ Wet Bake Asembly in Rduction Gear Box

In the reduction brake box, the wet brake assembly is equipped to the input shaft. It is used in both the service brake and parking brake operations.

Wet brake natural lubrication mechanism

In this mechanism, oil in the reduction gear box splashes through the seal retainer ⑦ oil hole (section B) and lubricates the brake section.
