A-4. Movement speed is normal in "work mode" (LOW) but top speed is not reached in "travel mode" (AUTO).

（２）Faulty operation of mode selector solenoid valve operation of the solenoid valve

1. Insert and push a long, round stick ② into the hole ① (diamet er: 6 mm) in the solenoid valve.

2. Check that, when the starter switch is turned ON and the mode selector switch is moved from the "travel mode" position (AUTO) to the "work mode" position (LO W), the inside piston ③ moves inward.

3. Set the mode selector switch to the "travel mode" position, a nd push the piston ③ with the stick ②.

4. The solenoid valve is normal if a reaction force of the sprin g ④ is felt and the piston ③ moves inward by 2.8 mm and returns smoothly on release of the force on the stick.

5. If the piston ③ does not move or its movement is not smooth, the spool is stuck with foreign matter.

Repair or replace solenoid valve. Inside leakage or sticky movement of the HST motor system pressure control section
