4. Remove the blue cap (1, Figure 14) from the lowside air conditioning port. Connect the low-pressure air conditioning gauge to the low-side port.
CAUTION
5. Remove the red cap (2) from the high-side air conditioning port. Connect the high-pressure air conditioning gauge to the high-side port.
The air conditioning system must be repaired, serviced and filled with refrigerant only by trained staff and a workshop authorized in air conditioning maintenance.
6. Purge air from the system and add 26 oz. (737 g) of R134a refrigerant. 7. After filling, remove the air conditioning gauges from the ports, and replace the caps back onto the port.

NOTE: Replace the blue cap on the low-side port (1), and the red cap on the high-side port (2).
2. Open the engine cover.
8. Start the machine and turn on the air conditioning system. allowthe machine to run for a couple of minutes at full throttle and check for unusual sounds.
3. Remove the blue cap (1, Figure 14) from the lowside air conditioning port. Connect the low-pressure air conditioning gauge to the low-side port.
9. Cool air should come out of the air vents after a short while. 10. Stop the engine. Remove the ignition key and take it with you. 1
11. Open the engine cover and inspect for damage or malfunctions. Troubleshoot/repair if necessary. 12. Check air conditioning V-belt tension and adjust if necessary.
