17Drive direction switch on joystick in forward position
18NOT USED
19Ignition switch in “ON/START/RUN” position
20Signal sent to auxiliary hydraulics flow solenoid (forward direction) -- (Later serial number machines only)
21Signal sent to auxiliary hydraulics flow solenoid (reverse direction) -- (Later serial number machines only)
22 Signal sent to lift/tilt lock solenoids (lift/tilt activation; all safety requirements met) -- (Later serial number machines only)
23Reverse direction auxiliary hydraulics joystick button closed (depressed) -- (Later serial number machines only)
24Seat switch in closed position (operator in seat) -- (Later serial number machines only)
25Forward direction auxiliary hydraulics joystick button closed (depressed) -- (Later serial number machines only)
26Signal sent to fuel solenoid to maintain fuel flow
Machine Controller Logic
Functions controlled by the machine controller follow specific logic as described in the following table. Numbers in the table refer to the numbered LEDs in the previous table.
NOTE: Not all possible logic function states are shown in the table.
Function“IN” LEDs“OUT” LEDsNotes
(1) -- Ignition switch in "ON" position
(10) -- Signal sent to glow plug relay
Glow Plug
Engine Start
(no LED) Engine temperature is below 50° F (10° C)
(1) -- Ignition switch in "START" position
Later serial number machines: (13, 24) -- (24) Seat switch indicates operator in seat and/or (13) parking brake engaged
Earlier serial number machines: (12, 13, 14) -- (24) ROPS tilt switch indicates operator platform is down and/or (13) parking brake engaged and/or (14) auxiliary hydraulics lever is in forward/reverse position
(1) -- Ignition switch in "START" position
Engine Start
Disabled
(4) -- Signal sent to glow plug indicator on instrument panel
When the ignition switch is in the “ON” position and engine temperature is below 50° F (10° C), glow plug and glow plug indicator are activated for a period of time determined by engine temperature
The engine will start only if:
(6) -- Signal sent to engine starter
(11) -- Signal sent to fuel solenoid for 1.5 seconds to start fuel flow
(26) -- Signal sent to fuel solenoid to maintain fuel flow
Later serial number machines: The operator seat is occupied and/ or the parking brake is on
Early serial number machines: The operator seat platform is down and/or the parking brake is on and/ or the auxiliary hydraulics lever is in neutral (centered) position
(16, 17) -- Joystick drive direction switch is in (17) forward or (16) reverse position
Earlier serial number machines: (14) -- Auxiliary hydraulics lever is in forward/reverse position
NO "OUT" SIGNALS
Engine will not start if the joystick drive direction switch is not in the neutral position
Early serial number machines: Additionally, engine will not start if auxiliary hydraulics lever is not in neutral (centered) position
