Machine and Drive Controllers

CHAPTER 10 — MACHINE/DRIVE CONTROLLERS

Machine and Drive Controllers

The machine controller provides operator control logic.

The drive controller (PLUS+1 module) provides computerized control of the drive system, and provides error-reporting functionality.

The drive controller receives inputs from the throttle sensor, inching sensor, engine RPM sensor, and pump RPM sensor. Additionally, the machine control module sends forward/neutral/reverse drive and hi/low gear input data to the drive controller.

NOTE: Applying the park brake shifts the drive into neutral. The drive is shifted into low gear when the engine is started.
