What is your relationship with TNDC and the Tahltan Nation? How long have you had your joint venture (or other relationship) with TNDC? We have worked with the Tahltan Nation since 2012. We have worked together in numerous capacities – sub-contracted to, as a prime contractor, under a partnership agreement, and under a collaboration agreement.
We continue to sponsor the Healthy Active Tahltans (HATs) initiative and on various occasions individual hockey teams to travel to the Whitehorse tournament.
How do you communicate contracting processes when you are looking for services providers?
What employment and training opportunities are available to Tahltan members? How do you communicate these opportunities?
When procuring goods and services for our contracts we communicate directly with TNDC to help identify any local options.
We post roles to OnTrack and are happy to discuss any open employment opportunity with qualified Tahltan members. Opportunities are also listed on our website. Any job opportunities in Tahltan Territory are discussed directly with TNDC Management.
What is your approach to including Tahltan businesses in your operations?
Why should Tahltan members want to work for you? We strive to maintain a diverse workforce open to all individuals. Ensuring a supportive work environment to foster individuals’ careers.
What training opportunities do you provide for Tahltan members? Training is offered on an as needed basis, basic worksite health and safety and standard procedures are offered to all new employees. Currently a Tahltan team member is working through management courses to fortify their strengths.

What philanthropic contributions have you made to the Tahltan Nation?
When working in Tahltan Territory we endeavor to offer Tahltan businesses first opportunity within our subcontractor group. Using OnTrack and having direct discussions with TNDC management allows us to communicate opportunities in real time.
