COMPANY OVERVIEW & UPDATE
Any successes or challenges you’d like to share?
In September 2021, Pretivm employees celebrated the milestone of one of year without a lost time incident.
This was a significant achievement for Pretivm, the Brucejack Mine, and our workforce including more than 800 employees who undertook a large camp expansion, conducted a significant summer exploration program and successfully produced ~350,000 ounces of gold in the same time period from September 2020 to September 2021.
We also welcomed our first battery electric truck in 2021. The company announced plans to replace all of its diesel underground haul trucks with seven electric trucks by 2023. Once all of the vehicles are in operation, it will reduce the companies GHG emissions by 7,000 tonnes per year or 24% of our total emissions. This is equivalent to taking 1,500 passenger vehicles off the road.
The COVID-19 pandemic presented many challenges again this year. In response, we introduced significant modifications at the mine and associated logistics, including personnel travel, to mitigate the potential introduction and spread of the virus to the Brucejack site and surrounding communities. We were able to maintain full production levels throughout 2021. Collaboration with the Tahltan Emergency Management Committee on COVID prevention and mitigation measures had a significant influence on our ability to manage the pandemic, for which we are extremely grateful.
Number of employees working on your project(s)?
As of December 31, 2021, we have 894 Pretivm employees and an additional total of 585 between six of our main contractors. We expect to maintain this level of employment throughout 2022.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES IN THE 2021 SEASON
Pretivm’s primary activities in 2021 were the operation and support of the underground Brucejack Mine. Near mine and regional grassroots exploration activity also conducted on surrounding claims. Additionally, the company completed several capital projects including construction of an onsite assay lab, core shack and new accommodations at Brucejack and two other support camps.

Where does the majority of your financing come from year to year? What’s the breakdown of who owns your company and the company market cap?
Primarily our finances are from the production and sales of gold and silver from the Brucejack Mine.
Brucejack is 100% owned and operated by Pretium Resources, a publicly listed company on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchange with the trading symbol PVG.
On November 8, 2021 we announced that we had entered into a binding agreement with Newcrest Mining Limited under which Newcrest has agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Pretivm that it does not already own.
In addition to approval by Pretivm shareholders and option holders, the transaction is also subject to the receipt of court approval, regulatory approvals including approval under the Investment Canada Act and competition clearances in Canada, as well as other customary closing conditions for transactions of this nature. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022 after which Newcrest will take ownership of the Brucejack Mine.
Pretivm’s current market cap is approximately $3.36 billion.
Tentative plans and hopes for the 2022 season?
Mine operations are expected to continue through 2022 consistent with previous years.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TCG & TAHLTAN NATION
During the 2021 season, what involvement did TCG personnel and departments have with your company? If they were not involved, why not?
Throughout 2021, we worked closely with the Employment & Contracting Director, as well as the Education & Training Director to provide updates on employment opportunities and discuss training needs. The Tahltan Employment & Contracting Director and Education & Training Director took part in a 2021 collaboration session hosted by Pretivm. We initiated quarterly review meetings with the Lands Department to discuss updates on major activities at the site and upcoming referral needs. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were in continuous contact with the Emergency Management Committee (EMC) and Communications Director for updates on the community and response actions, attending by-weekly meetings with the Tahltan EMC and industry partners. Additionally, the Wildlife Department participated in the annual Wildlife Advisory Committee meeting to review wildlife related aspects of mine activities.
In 2021, how many Tahltans did you employ? What positions did they hold in your company and what percentage of Tahltans did you employ compared to others?

2021 was a challenging year. We commend the Tahltan Nation’s collective efforts to keep your communities and members safe. We appreciate the communities’ and the TCG’s ongoing support and assistance to keep the Brucejack Mine operating through these unprecedented times. We continue to have a mutually beneficial relationship and we would particularly like to thank the Tahltan Central Government, Department of Employment & Contracting, the Department of Education & Training, the Dease Lake Community Director and the COVID-19 Emergency Management Committee.
