STORAGE

The following procedure applies when the machine is to be stored for one month or more.

Storage preparation 1

Park the machine on flat, level ground.

Lubricate the machine at all grease points.

Retract the dipper cylinder rod completely.

4

Lubricate the exposed surfaces of the cylinder rods or protect the cylinder rods by applying a protective film (aerosol spray part no. S1403568).

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.

6

Clean all outer engine components with diesel fuel.

7

While the engine is still warm, drain the oil from the crankcase and fill with anticorrosive oil up to the MAX mark on the dipstick.

8

Drain the fuel tank and fill it with a solution of 90% diesel fuel and 10% anticorrosive oil.

9

Run the engine at idle speed for five minutes until the anticorrosive oil has reached the lines and hoses, the filters, the pump, the turbocharger and the injectors.

NOTE: When using the machine after storage, the protective film will be naturally eliminated.

STORING THE MACHINE

10 Remove the rocker arm covers. Spray a solution of 90% diesel fuel and 10% anticorrosive oil into the rocker arm chamber. Install the rocker arm covers.

12 Disconnect the electrical circuit using the battery master switch. 13 Remove the batteries.
