LOAD HANDLING
WARNING: When using this machine to lift a load make sure that the machine is suitably equipped for this type of work. For this type of work, the machine must be equipped with safety valves, an overload indicator, a load handling chart corresponding to the type of attachment installed on the machine, and a load fixing point.
WARNING: Always operate on firm, flat ground, away from any obstacles.!
Check that the load is stable a few centimetres from the ground before lifting it to any height. Movements must be safe and smooth when handling loads. Moving quickly does not mean moving in a jerky manner. When travelling with a load, always comply with the following instructions: - Place the upperstructure in line with the undercarriage (working position). IMPORTANT: In the working position the steering wheels should be at the rear. In this position, the travel and steering controls are reversed.
- Bring the load as near as possible to the undercarriage and ground. - It is mandatory to travel at slow speed, using the travel control lever and with the front axle unlocked.
What to do in the event of a hydraulic system failure
Tools required
-One 13 mm wrench for hexagonal head screws Stop the engine immediately. Hold the control lever(s) in the position necessary for the attachment to be lowered as required and operate the emergency pump until the load is resting on the ground. If it is not possible to lower the attachment, the cause of the problem may be a burst in the pilot circuit. In this case, it is necessary to relieve on of the two boom safety valves to enable the attachment to be lowered.
WARNING: When intervening on either of the two safety valves, make sure you are in a position to avoid any risk of accident and that no other person is within range of the attachment.
