HYDRAULIC BREAKER SERVICING INTERVALS (optional)
Maintenance intervals
EVERY 2 HOURS 1. Grease the tool shank and the tool bushing. 2. Tighten any loose connections. 3. Check the impact efficiency and evenness of operation. EVERY 10 HOURS OR AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK 1. Remove the tool retaining pins and check their condition. Grind burrs away if necessary. See “Replacing a tool on a hydraulic breaker” in the “Maintenance/ Adjustments” Section. 2. Check that the tool has received sufficient greasing. Grease more frequently, if necessary.
EVERY 50 HOURS OR AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH IMPORTANT: It is preferable to have the first servicing after 50 hours operation carried out by your CASE Dealer. 1. Check the tool shank and tool bushing for wear. See “Replacing a tool on a hydraulic breaker” and “Replacing a bushing tool on a hydraulic breaker” in the “Maintenance/Adjustments” Section. 2. Check the hydraulic hoses. Replace them if necessary. 3. Make sure the hydraulic breaker moves freely in its housing and that the antivibration components (buffers and pads) are in good condition. 4. Check the condition of the wear plates by moving the hydraulic breaker from one side of the housing the other with a prybar. The maximum acceptable play is approximately 10 mm. EVERY 600 HOURS OR ONCE A YEAR Have the hydraulic breaker thoroughly checked by your CASE Dealer.
Maintenance intervals for special applications
Service intervals are considerably shorter for such applications as breaker tunnelling, scaling, foundry cleaning, underwater use, etc. For special applications, consult your CASE Dealer.
