With adjustable boom
Make the clamshell pivot around the support by operating the boom and dipper cylinders simultaneously. The attachment will be in the road transport maximum overall dimension position when the marks on the boom cylinder coincide, the dipper position index markings coincide and the clamshell beam is in contact with the stabilizer beam.
With articulated boom
Place the boom cylinders in the extended position and make the clamshell pivot around the bracket by operating the boom articulation cylinder and the dipper cylinder simultaneously. The attachment will be in the road transport maximum overall dimension position when the boom and boom articulation cylinders are completely extended and when the clamshell beam is in contact with the stabilizer beam.
STEP 5
Lock the boom and dipper positions by means of the boom and dipper locking valves. See "Boom locking valve" and "Dipper locking valve" in the "Controls/ Instruments/Accessories" Section.
PDH1086 For the working position remove the shafts (1) and tilt the support forwards. Lock the support by means of one of the shafts.
P2AL Version
STEP 1
PDH1087 Turn the clamshell so that the clamshell teeth are parallel with the blade face. Install the support on the blade after pulling the retention pins out of the blade rods. Reposition the pins and split pins in their intial position.

The attachment will be in the road transport maximum overall dimension position when the boom cylinders and articulated boom cylinders are completely extended and the clamshell beam is in position in the housing on the support.
STEP 5
Lock the boom and dipper positions by means of the boom and dipper locking valves. See "Boom locking valve" and "Dipper locking valve" in the "Controls/ Instruments/Accessories" Section.
