When operating the machine, follow these instructions: - When starting the engine, allow for the prevailing weather conditions. See “Starting the engine”.

- Check the hourmeter regularly, to ensure that all service operations are carried out punctually. See the “Service Intervals” Section. - If you use your machine in particularly harsh conditions (dusty or corrosive atmosphere), the service intervals should be reduced accordingly. - See “Run-In period” if the machine is new or if the engine has been reconditioned.

- Locate the position of any underground pipes or conduits before starting work. - When working near overhead high voltage electric lines, you must keep a safe working distance from the lines. The minimum distances to be respected are as follows: - Under 57 000 volts: 3 meters. - Over 57 000 volts: 5 meters. - When working on a public highway, use the standard traffic signs, taking into consideration the working range of the upperstructure and its attachments. Local or national regulations stipulate the number, type and location of reflector strips. - Operate the working or travel controls only when seated in the operator’s seat. - Always make allowance for the working conditions when operating the machine. See “Operating instructions” in the “Job Site and Road Operation” Section.
