Men's Bowling mounties What a great year 2019 has been in pennants and state championships.
In our main tournaments for the year:
Clive Edwards Memorial Triples is an open tournament: Run on Sat.-Sun. 8th-9th, June. The winners were a team from St John’s Park; Mounties teams took out 2nd and 4th places. Steve Edwards made the presentations.
Geoff Muldoon Pairs is an in-house tournament: Run on Sat.-Sun. 7th-8th September. Winners were Wayne Turner and Ken Tracey.
Ernie Moore Pairs is also an in-house tournament: Run over several weekends in September. Winners were Adam Kitchener and warren Hopley. Mounties again sponsored and hosted the Zone 12 State President Reserve Pairs in July. 3 teams from Mounties entered with Rick Staats and Warren Hopley taking out the Championship and progressed to the State Finals at Ettalong held 22-24 September where they won all games and took out the State title.

We also had 3 entries in the Zone 12 Reserve Singles Championship, 2 teams in the Zone 12 Reserve Triples Championship and 1 team in the Zone 12 Reserve Fours Championship. We had two grades in the 2019 state pennants, grades 6 & 7. Our Grade 6 Pennant team won the Zone 12 Pennant and progressed to the State Finals at Warrilla Bowls Club winning through to the Final taking out Runner-up Pennant. Mounties Men’s Lawn Bowls held their AGM on Saturday 24th August. Warren Hopley was again elected President – for the 8th consecutive year. Challenge Have you ever thought of giving lawns bowls a go, it is as easy as contacting us, we will do the rest? All you need is flat soled shoes. As they say; you never, never know, unless you give it a go. WE DARE YOU!!!
