Toastmasters Mounties

Mt Pritchard Toastmasters club had a successful year of fun meetings and new members joining.

Toastmasters International rates its clubs on how well they encourage members to pursue their personal public speaking and leadership goals. This year our club was able to achieve President’s Distinguish status, the highest level of recognition available, meaning we met the membership prerequisite and achieved all 10 goals. A Toastmasters club which achieves 7 out of 10 goals is considered a good club. Toastmasters holds 4 main speech contests throughout the year and the club’s more experienced members Karyn, Carmel, Frank and Du Yan have all been successful winning at club level and area level then competing in the Division level. Carmel achieved a triple crown award, an award which only a few in the whole district has earned. Vivienne, the latest member to complete the competent communicator award.
