Sports Director's Report

It’s been another fun, exciting and busy year for our Sub Clubs and its members. Mounties Group takes pride in supporting, building and bettering our community through social and sporting needs.

It was a big task to take over from Lorraine Dean, who was the Sub Club Director for the past 8 years. She did a wonderful job holding the fort and I hope I can achieve the same great work as Lorraine going forward. 2019 has been a very successful year in sport with numerous Sub Clubs participating in finals and grand finals. Well done to all those who worked hard over the past year, trained and made a commitment to their teams.

Mounties Group Sub Clubs have always been actively involved in several community initiatives and we continue to support programs such as Try Time and new Triglav clubs – Cycling and FE FC Holden Car Club. Welcome to the Sub Club family. We have also continued to help and support Stewart House by donating clothing and sporting equipment from numerous Mounties Group Sub Clubs. We’re very proud to offer our support to such organisations that the community can benefit from. Thank you to all who have been supporting the Sub Clubs over the years, without the constant support, efforts and help we would not be where we are today. Thank you to all the coaches, trainers, leaders, volunteers, members and their families who continue to keep our sports alive. On a sad note, I would like to pay my respects to all our dearest members who have been taken too soon by the angels. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors and the members of the Sports Committee; Lorraine Dean, Tom Murphy, Leon Hansen, Dawn Kelly and Lyn King for all their continued hard work and support this year. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the year and I wish you all the best for the 2020 season!
