Snooker Mounties

Once again we have had another great snooker year.

Our Snooker Presentation Night was on Friday 12th July. Attendance numbers was disappointing, but a great night had by all. Special mention congratulations to Ron Tulloch – Player of the year and Brian Castles – Encouragement Award Thank you to our Directors, Club Captain Dawn Kelly, Assistant Club Captain Lyn King and new CEO Dale Hunt for attending and participating in our fun raffle. We had our AGM Tuesday 16th July. Thank you to Club Captain Dawn Kelly and Sports Director Jenny McNiven for attending. Sadly, Jenny commenced our AGM advising via letter that our long serving President Steve Fitzpatrick has resigned from his president duties of the Snooker Club, we all wish him all the best.

Curry and Tina Core We want to congratulate our new committee and hope we have a great year and work as a team. Congratulations to Brian Castles was voted a Life Snooker Member at the AGM.

We started the year with our themed Winter BBQ – wear your favourite jersey day on the Saturday 20th July. It was a great day, a big thank you to Club Captain Dawn Kelly and her husband Jim for attending. Thank you to our great cooks Peter Curry, Steve Fitzpatrick and Larry Roser. And a special thank you to Marilyn Price for her delicious desserts and Trevor for providing the chips/bickies and cheese which always goes down well. And to everyone for coming and making it an enjoyable day. Joe Calabrese’s Wednesday Night Competition going well which is averaging 9 – 10 player weekly here are a few results;

Terry Jackson Competition was played on the 30th July and 4th August, a great time had by all and everyone dressed the part on the second Sunday Hawaiian Style. The results will be notified at the Sub Club Presentation Night Friday 25th October. Til next time
