Rugby League – Junior Mounties
2019 saw Mounties JRL take the field with 22 teams from u6s-u23s, including two try-time teams.
This year we fielded our first, All girls junior league team in the u14s Combined Competition. This team had a mix of girls aged 12/13/14 years of age, some having played before and some having never played. They went thru the season as undefeated Minor Premiers but missed out on a spot in the Grand Final. We had 12 teams play in the Finals series this season, with 4 teams, 10'2s, 12'2s, 14 Girls and u23s finishing as Minor Premiers. 4 teams, 9'1s, 13'3s, 15'3s and u23s playing in Grand Final matches with our u23s finishing as Premiers. This year we had 5 teams in our u6/7s age group, which is an increase to recent years. During the season we held two holiday clinics for our players, The Brett Kimmorley 'Play Makers Academy' and our Junior Winter Coaching Clinic lead by our ISP Assistant Coach, Luke Swain. The kids enjoyed and learnt a lot from both clinics. This year we held our first try-time Gala Day, with teams from Parramatta and Penrith JRL Districts. The day was a huge success and we look forward to our next one.

This year has seen Chris Hutchison come on as our new head of Rugby League, We have a great committee, who have worked together to ensure everything is done to get all the kids on the field, on a weekly basis. We appreciate the hard work put in by these wonderful people. We look forward to season 2020.
