Cards Ramino

Sandra Zorzit and card club members competed in 56 competitions as well as the yearly home and away Torneo del Amiciazia with Club Marconi.

Lucio Pinoshi is a prominent Ramino player and a formidable opponent. Card members introduced the game of Ramino to 1,058 students from local schools who attend Club’s Italian Cultural Day.

Cards Super Ramino

Gilda Ariti organised 3 Super Ramino tournaments which takes the players of Ramino to a higher level of competitiveness where each players skill and temperament are on display. The final games are full of excitement with some spectators becoming more anxious than the players. During the year Gilda and card members raised $3,200.00 and together with Club Italia’s contribution she was able to present to Jayne Martin of The Heart Foundation a donation of $6,400.00.

Senior & Social Bocce

Renato Pagnucco’s passion for the game of bocce raised the level of play amongst players during the year. Joyce has impeccable bocce skills and a temperament that secures her many victories. During the year our Senior and Social Bocce members played over 245 competitive games. Renato and Joyce assisted in introducing the game of bocce to students who attend the Club’s Italian Cultural Day.

Golf

Our Golfers played 2 intraclub tournaments with Mounties Senior Golfers during the year. The Friendship Trophy winners were Ben Hussein, Gary Dillis, Fred Vella and Sam Salanitro.

At the Presentation Lunch Sports Director Jenny McNevin congratulated the winners and thanked both club’s players for participating in the tournaments. She also thanked the organisers, Director Lorraine Dean, Golf Captains Ben Hussein and Mario Casetta, Committee members Lou Trofa, Allen Gallard and Ben Sonego. During the tournament’s players raised $443.00 which was donated to the Mens Shed Bonnyrigg by President Kevin Ingram. A very successful year for Club Italia Sport
