In February we went down to Calderwood Valley golf course and played over two days with 54 players. We stayed at the Warillia sports club overnight. The overall winner was Geoffrey Bellia. Our point score winner for the year was Eddie Chambers. Next we played Match Play over 4 rounds and the winner was Lou Trofa and Eddie Chambers who played the last round with cracked ribs was the runner up. The 2BBB championship was won by Terry Smith and John Codner with Kazim Aldogan and Pat Knox as runners up. Chris Murphy Memorial Day was played at royal Fairfield and won by Vic Bartolo & Lou Trofa The Club Championships was played over 4 rounds the Scratch winner was Norm Simpson and runner up was Eddie Chambers. ● A Grade Nett winner was won BY Eddie Chambers and Norm

Simpson as runner up ● B Grade scratch was won by John Codner with Ken

McDonald as the runner up ● B Grade net winner was also won by John Codner and Ken

McDonald was the runner up We had our presentation night on Saturday the 28th Nov at the mother club and a good time was had by everyone who attended. Congratulations to all the winners for each of the events during the year! One special note is that we played at Cabramatta on the 1st of October & Pat Knox had a hole in 1 on the 14th hole. The general rule used to be that the person who gets a hole in 1 shouts the bar but alas no free drinks.

There are a lot of players who play all their golfing career and never experience getting a hole in one We also play a charity event against Club Italia twice a year and the winners are the chosen charity for that year Our club plays golf every Tuesday at various courses and we would like more people to come and join us the only restriction is that you must be 55years young or older as one of our members who turned 86 the other week and is still out there playing every week.
