Year 10 At the beginning of the year, the Year 10 cohort was challenged to set personal goals, actively engage in the life of the College and to take on more responsibility as senior students. They were asked to be mindful of the upcoming subject selection process for 2017, enabling them to reach the prerequisites for their desired courses of study. With a focus on maintaining a positive attitude and application in the classroom, the clear majority of students have excelled in the opportunities that have been presented to them. For others, there is still time to reap the benefits of being an active Trinity College student and participate in cultural activities outside the sporting arena. In Term 1 Year 10 ‘roadie’ volunteers assisted the Peer Ministers in the Quest retreat. The roadies volunteered their time to direct traffic and unload the bounty of donated canned food. Next year many of these students will form the Peer Minister Group as Year 11 students.

Under a new initiative from the University of Western Australia, the Year 10 students were invited to experience life as a student on campus. The day was designed to engage all students from both ATAR and non-ATAR pathways. Students were exposed to one of three activities:
YEAR 10 STUDENT COUNCIL
Mr Andrew Osnain Head of Year 10
Engineering, Health Science and Business Commerce. Each activity was designed to be hands-on and engaging. It is hoped that by exposing the students to life beyond Trinity this may be a motivating factor to reach their potential. The boys were taken on a quick tour of the campus and enjoyed the brief snapshot of life as a UWA student. The Pastoral Care Group Councillors were challenged to take on more responsibility and responded by organising several events for students during pastoral care time. One of the most common statements from students at the beginning of the year was that the entire year group should participate as a collective and becoming united. The councillors have worked hard to assist in this process. Our councillors were key drivers for the Pastoral Care Group activities conducted during Tuesday PCG times, such as the sausage sizzle fundraiser in Term 2 and for driving the themed social in Term 3 with Mercedes College. Other cultural events run throughout the year included the Trinity/Mercedes afternoon and the aforementioned Term
