Canteen
A big thank you to all our wonderful mums who come in and help at the canteen. The times are a-changing, and we don’t get the help we used to.
More and more mums are returning to the paid workforce so their children can have the education they want for them. Sadly, we farewelled our Year 12 mums, except for one mum who wants to return even though she has no-one here left at the school and she always brings us delicious morning teas. She will always be welcomed back!
Our staffing has changed again. Cindy Chai has joined our little group and also Rose Chang, on a casual basis. Our singing parrot is still here though she is now missing some feathers—although some days the opera tunes and the whistling are just too much to take! Sarah Di Bartolomeo, Julie Colquhoun and Anne Murphy just turn off but it’s a bit hard if the parrot is next to you.
We are all getting older and just seem to get busier and busier and there is just no time to ‘smell the roses’. Please keep popping in. We love a good bit of gossip and a good laugh, which, in this job, there are lots of both. We would love to see more of our mums, especially our new mums. We have mums who work part-time and pop in on a Friday to do the lunch distribution and other mums who come in before they go to work. Dropping in for ten minutes or an hour really helps and we would love to meet you!
