Year 6 White

What an amazing year, with an amazing group of young men. I believe that it has felt like the quickest that I have ever experienced. There is no such thing as a quiet school term in the Junior School.

THE BEST THING ABOUT YEAR 6 WHITE WAS …

...hatching the chickens. I was lucky to adopt four of the chickens and watch them grow. Alistair Carlson ...the Kalgoorlie tour and Leadership retreat. Also the Titanic exhibition that we attended. Ben Byas ...being in Mr Max’s class. I enjoyed reading the Parvana series, writing poetry and hatching our class chickens. Zach Neveldsen ...I had an amazing time in 6 White. Mr Max was awesome. The very best thing was hatching our class chickens. Lucas Gardiner ...at the beginning I thought that Mr Max was a grumpy, old teacher. But it turned out he is a very good teacher and he has a sense of humour. Cristian Tot ...the Kalgoorlie tour, especially Day 5 and prospecting, I found GOLD! Thanks for a great year, Sir! Ethan Malpass ...I absolutely loved the Kalgoorlie tour. It was great to share it with all of my friends. Aiden Danok ...the hatching of our class chickens and learning how to look after and handle them. Isaac Meldrum ...I loved the Year 6 Kalgoorlie camp because my dad went on it with me. The camp was exciting and fun. Harry Duncan ...that I think I was very lucky to be in 6 White with Mr Max. The whole year has been a great experience, particularly going on the Kalgoorlie tour. Ashton Spadoni ...enjoying the film we made for the Summer Olympics because all my friends were in my group. William Maughan ...hatching our class chickens. I named one of the chickens ‘Sevan.’” The S is for my name Sam and the Evan from my Year 4 buddy’s name. Sam Croll ...one of my favourite things this year was doing the triathlon with Mr Thompson at Champion Lakes. I did the swimming leg. Ashton Fewster ...the Kalgoorlie tour and hatching the chickens in our classroom. James Glendinning ...poetry was the best part! My favourites were the Titanic, Olympic and Britannic ship poems. Cory Loiacono ...was Friend or Foe by Michael Morpurgo. It was about children evacuated from the cities to the country during World War II. Casey Robertson ...the Titanic Exhibition. The exhibits were so life-like, some were used in the Titanic movie. Lleyton Ardagh ...our 6 White poetry and history discussions this year. I also liked how Mr Max prepared us for Year 7. Patrick Parker ...being able to hatch the chickens. We learnt how to care and look after them too. Christian Fay ...the Titanic Exhibition in Term 1 and learning to play the oboe. Joseph Ipsaro-Passione …I’ve enjoyed it so much, especially the Kalgoorlie tour. You are right, our class is like a big family. Thank you, Sir, for this year. Alex Thomson ...hatching our class chickens. They were so cute and we showed the Year 5s and our Year 4 buddies. Luke Rowe ...I enjoyed the Kalgoorlie tour, gold history, meeting new friends, our Parvana literature novels, the chickens and doing poetry. Thank you, Mr Max, for an amazing year. Liam Maher
