Initiate an adjacent forepole group WARNING Mine safety procedures in regards to shield movement MUST be observed.
1.
Press
to select Forepole Operation.

Select the side you want the function to operate with the Extend or Retract
or
key.
Direction
In this example the ‘G’ key was pressed in No.149 support to select the adjacent forepole group. The display informs the operator that the currently selected group is shields 154 to 150 and the sequence will start at 154 and work towards 150 depending on the group size.

Pressing will operate.
, the operator can toggle between the directions that the forepole group function

WARNING If Anti-Collision is inactive it is possible to extend and retract the forepoles via adjacent group in the shearer zone
