Reversing the shearer during SRB operations

To reverse the direction of travel of the shearer out of normal cutting sequence, such as

when out of the gate ends clean up area, the SRB must be suspended by pressing .

The shearer may then be reversed to clear blockages, re-cut roof or floor etc.

The Shearer must be returned to its position in the sequence where SRB was suspended, and a ‘Restart’ performed to resume operation within the maximum time limit for an SRB restart.
