Stagger TCC
Stagger group operation allows Auto TCC’s to operate in a defined sequence that will allow constant exposure to the rear AFC. This is achieved by allowing TCC’s to begin depending on adjacent shields slide ram positions. A TCC stagger group consists of 7 adjacent shields. In the example below an operator has programmed the following From-To function.
TCC: STAG 10 > 27
r98 c100 s100 SA-Idle
This From-To operation consists of 2 stagger groups with 4 shields remaining. The first stagger group (10- 16) will begin its sequence with an active TCC in shield 10. The sequence of shield 12 which is the second shield to become active in the sequence is described below. The targets and times may differ depending on the parameter
settings.
Stagger Group Stagger Group Remaining
1 0 1 1 1 2 1 3 1 4 1 5 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 9 2 0 2 1 2 2 2 3 2 4 2 5 2 6 2 7
1 5 2 6 3 7 4 1 5 2 6 3 7 4 1 2 3 4
• Shield 10 has retracted past 15% (TCC Stagger stroke). This is the trigger for Shield 12 to begin. Operations in shield 12 are dependent on the status of shield 10. • Shield 12 begins its TCC sequence and retracts to 50% (TCC stagger pause). • Shield 12 pauses until Shield 10 begins its final extension of the slide cylinder. Once shield 10 slide extend output energises then shield 12 slide continues to retract. • Shield 12 reaches 15% (TCC Stagger stroke (trigger for shield 14 to begin) and continues to retract to 2% (TCC ret.sl.ram3). • Operations in shield 14 are dependent on the status of shield 12. • Shield 12 caving shield retracts to 98% (TCC ret.ram). • Shield 12 TCC pauses for 5 seconds (TCC pause). • Shield 12 caving shield extends to 98% (TCC ext.ram). • Shield 12 caving slide begins extension (also trigger for shield 14 to continue retracting). • Shield 12 caving slide extends to 98% (TCC ext.sl.ram). • Shield 12 TCC is now complete. The shields in the Stagger group progress and when shield 7 begins its TCC the next Stagger group becomes active. Operations in shield 17 are dependent on the status of
shield 15. After shield 22 finishes its TCC the remaining shields in the group will then operate sequentially as the group size is less than 7. Therefore for TCC Staggering to occur in all shields in a TCC From-To operation a multiple of 7 shield groups should be selected. E.g. 10>30.
NOTICE
If an error occurs in a shield during a TCC in stagger mode and the TCC completes due to timing out then the next TCC will begin its TCC or continue its sequence.
