Initiate an SRB Newstart – manual mode

The manual mode is only used, if the shearer data is lost due to a fault. The manual SRB mode can be started the same way as the serial mode.

1. Switching from SHEARER COMMUNICATIONS to MANUAL tracking is achieved by accessing the SRB PARAMETERS menu, and using the ‘L’ or ‘M’ keys to change the display to S track once the relevant password has been entered.

2. Using the ‘P’ key will change display to either ‘NONE’, ‘S_MG’, or ‘MANUAL”.

3. Press and then select shearer direction by pressing either or .

4. Press to activate SRB.

5. In ‘Manual’ mode, the shearer position is now updated manually to the PMC-R system

by the shearer operator. The key will flash in the shields adjacent to the Main

Gate drum where an update of the shearer position is possible by pressing and

then the key.

6. To stop SRB press

S track S_MG r2 c100 s100 SA-Idle

WARNING

It is extremely important that the operator constantly updates the machine position to ensure collision between the Shearer and Shields do not occur.
