Initiate an SRB Newstart – Shearer communications tracking

To initiate SRB, the operator must be adjacent to the shearer, where the key is flashing.

1. Press to select SRB automatic operation.

2. Then select the Direction that the shearer will travel, by pressing either or .

3. Start the SRB by pressing .

NOTICE

If the and keys LED’s are lit, SRB is running.

Now that the SRB automatic is started, if the Shearer Running Batch (SRB) is cancelled (for example, the Stop key was pressed), the SRB can be ‘Restarted’ from a group of

Shields near the shearer, indicated by a flashing and keys LED’s flashing.

The sequence can be ‘Restarted’ by pressing , then and then .

4. To stop SRB press .

NOTICE

It is important to ‘Restart’ SRB and not to initiate e new start unless the shearer is at the beginning of its main-to-tail or tail-to-main sequence.
