I decided to use very limited set dressing and props due to comments that earlier photographs shot were too ‘busy’.

In order to do this I set up a makeshift photo studio, with 2 LED panel lights in order to minimise unwanted shadows. I used a slightly warmer than average white setting on the light panels, as I thought this brought out the oranges and coppers in the wallet and contents. For my main shot of my product I used a 28mm lens with a narrow aperture in order to give the photo as wide angle as possible, as well as keep the entire wallet in focus.

For my detail shots I opted for a faster, 50mm prime lens, in order to add a little flair to my photography. I opted to use a variety of apertures in order to accentuate different parts of the wallet, especially the hinge. I filled the wallet with a variety of different contents, in order to subtly show the viewer different ways in which the wallet can be used.
