Idea 1 - Recycled textile lampshade.

I recently shrunk a whole washing load of clothes, leaving me with a substantial amount of textiles needing to be recycled. This idea would make use of them. Strips of recycled fabric are stretched over a wireframe with a mounting bracket secured in the middle so the shade can be used for either table lamps or ceiling lamps.

Observations

With the current limited use of GSA workshop, it would be difficult to make a reproducible wireframe using conventional methods of either soldering or bending. I’d have to look into 3D printing brackets for corners and using regular prisms with straight edges. How suitable are the materials I have? Surely there’s an EU or ISO standard somewhere that prevents clothes from setting on fire from close proximity to a light bulb. Is a lampshade really giftware? I’m not sure I’d want to receive one as a gift. Could clothing be dyed to give a more vivid aesthetic - possibly tie dyed in order to look more natural?
