he Parent Council now, in its tenth year, consists of a group of parents who represent the school community and who meet on a regular basis with the School Principal and the Head of Primary. Our objectives are to: • assist with community building within the college • to provide feedback to the administrative team • organize social activities • assist with parent education • organize fete and fundraising activities. Each year our first task is to host the Parent Council Sundowner, which is an evening designed for parents, especially for the new parents to the school, to meet with other parents and staff. This year’s event was a great success culminating with an outstanding fireworks display. We also host the annual School Open Day, which attracted many people again this year. Students of both the senior and junior schools guided visitors around the school. The Parent Council was involved in organizing the revival of the Parents’ Ball, which was a wonderful night for all who attended. It was so successful that we have already booked a seven-piece band "The Flying Pyranahs" for 24th April next year. A parent information evening presented by Ian Lillico was another event organized by the Parent Council. This was a very informative session and I am sure that all who attended took away many useful clues for dealing with their boys. Initial discussions have started in preparation for the School Fete that is to be held on 31st October 2004. This is a major exercise and we will require a lot of assistance from the school community as we draw nearer to the event. I would like to thank all members of the Parent Council for their input at meetings and for their help at functions through out the year. Gary Scott President

hroughout the years, I have become aware of just how blessed we are at Trinity College with such a wonderful resource of willing helpers. Although the Ladies Auxiliary has a core group of stalwarts (to whom I am continually grateful), offers of assistance are freely given. I believe this is one of the strengths of the college. The Ladies’ Auxiliary at Trinity is not an elite few, but includes all parents at Trinity who are willing to help in any capacity. Functions such as Confirmation, First Communion, Open Day, Music Night, Waterford Morning Teas and Sports Day would not happen without this assistance. With the retirement of our past president, Kerry Garrick, this year’s committee has endeavoured to develop friendship and fellowship through social events such as The Fraser’s Devonshire Tea and the Melbourne Cup Luncheon. The annual Wine Night, our only fund raising event was very successful. Funds raised will help the Landscaping Committee in their project to produce plaques honouring each Year Twelve graduating from Trinity College. The school calendar of events is a very full one and it would be impossible to fulfil without the band of reliable helpers. The support of the committee made the organisation possible. Thank you to my committee: Roxanne Pendreigh, Margaret Roberts, Michelle Marinovich, Kerry Sutherland and Martina Stroud and all the other loyal women for their dedication. A special thanks to Sue Cummusky who ably co-ordinated the Waterford Morning Teas. The immense co-operation of the Ground Staff, School Staff, and in particular the Principal, allowed us to support the college so well. We wish Mr Curtis and his wife Elizabeth well in their retirement. Please feel free to attend our meetings on the second Monday of each month at 9am in the College Boardroom. Marilyn Harries President
