SIX BLUE
At the start of Term One we had our swimming trials, Later in the term we started Summer Sport and I did Flipper ball. The other options were cricket, tennis, softball and basketball. I had a great first term!!!!

Early in Term Two we had the Mothers’ Day Mass. As usual, there were lots of mothers and flowers there. We made photo frames to give to our mums and at the Mass some boys read poems that they had written. The mums love to hear the poems and are very proud of their sons on this special day. Later in the term, we made torches with Mr Hamer. At the end of the term, we went on an excursion to the Maritime Museum and the World of Energy in Fremantle. Term Two was an exciting term and I thought that it was one of the best this year.

With Ms Tesoriero on holiday, Miss Oldham came to teach Six Blue for Term Three. One of the highlights of the term for me was the Fathers’ Day Breakfast. All the dads had a good chat and a fantastic breakfast that the teachers cooked. My dad won some champagne and chocolates in the Fathers’ Day raffle. BIG (Boys in Groove) did a tremendous dance on the theme of bullying and won their section in the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival. We (BIG) performed at Burswood and the Concert Hall.
Weended the term on a high note with the ‘Big Walk’, a huge 7km walk. It made us all very tired, but we all had a fantastic time any way.

Term Four, our teacher, Ms Tesoriero is back from Long Service Leave. We have Sport Options that include Sailing, Surfing, Orienteering, Table Tennis, Tennis and Fishing. In a few weeks time all Year Six boys will be going to the Electoral Commission to learn about voting. I have had a great year and I am looking forward to being in Year Seven next year.

SIX GREEN
Where has the year gone? We have been extremely busy in Six Green this year. Not only have we learned many new things, but also we have had lots of fun. The year began with some new faces and many empty books.
First term flew by and the work was not quite as hard as we had anticipated. At first, we got to know each other better and found out what everyone had done over the holidays. We played against other schools in summer sports and competed in the first carnival for the year, the swimming carnival. After ten weeks, the first term holidays were a welcome relief.
During Term Two, we went on some excursions, and had some interesting groups who visited the school. Two of the places we went to were the World of Energy, where we saw a small rocket being launched, and the new Maritime Museum in Fremantle, where we saw Australia II, the yacht that won Australia the famous America’s Cup. Both places were interesting and we learned heaps.
After the holidays, we all went back to school. Both Year Six classes went to ‘Callan’ to learn more about the life of Edmund Rice. We trained hard for the cross country competition and then training began for the athletics carnival. Everyone had fun and the winners were Queens. We had visits from Barking Gecko, who performed a play called ‘Ghost Train’, and Musica Viva, who played music with instruments they had made themselves. On the last day of term, the big walk took place. The whole primary school walked over to Burswood Park for a picnic lunch. We spent hours having a great time and it was an enjoyable way to finish the term.
Looking back, the year was interesting and exciting. Weworked hard and had some fun in class. Now everyone is familiar and all our books are full.
