his year, Trinity College advanced another step toward providing an even more comprehensive programme for the students.

For some time now, the INSTEP Programme has provided many students with the opportunity to develop Mr Kevin Johns their competencies for the Coordinator of Vocational Education and Training workplace. With the supervision and support by the central Onsite office at Aranmore Catholic College, the INSTEP Programme has continued to attract students, with over fifty students finishing their selected programmes. Many students received A grades with outstanding complimentary comments from the employers. This year, Trinity has formed a partnership with National Corporate Training, a WA based Registered Training Organisation. Such a partnership has pushed the school to reconsider some of its subject offerings, and some staff have had to add to their qualifications to allow students to register for dual Certification at the end of the year. In 2003, selected Year Eleven students have enrolled in Certificate Two Business and Certificate Two Information Technology. The requirements for these Certificates are embedded in the subjects the students already do at school. With careful attention to assessment procedures, these students not only receive their Certificate of Education at the end of Year Twelve, but also the Certificates Two in the chosen areas. Next year will see continuing development in this dual certification with possible extensions into Music and Sport and Recreation. Every effort is being made to give students who do not choose TEE the chance to engage in worthwhile, productive courses. When the new Courses of Study are implemented in Western Australia, Trinity expects to be able to widen this offer to all students regardless of whether they choose University or other pathways. Congratulations to the students and thanks to the Principal, deputies and Onsite team for a successful year.
