Route Management Manual

Do not train the Raymond Courier on routes when in an error state, easily identifiable by the blue indicator (blue light on is an obstruction, error state is identified by the blue indicator light flashing). The route will not be saved.

Use expansion gaps or other pre-existing lines on the floor to keep the Raymond Courier running straight while training routes.

Train routes with the forks elevated to roughly half of full lift.

Station locations should be well-planned in advance.

Do not locate stations on curves.

Locating Stations several feet before and after turns increases successful route segment training. Stations are best located on straight route segments – this lowers the risk of positioning or orienting the truck incorrectly.

Keep battery cables inside the profile of the truck. Long cables may be detected by the Light Curtain Module, resulting in a false obstruction being detected.

When training a route segment to an existing Station, do not train the truck with sudden movements to line up the truck with the Station Marker.

For the Model 3020, tracking carts are strongly recommended.

Driving in the forks-first direction (backing up) at any point during route training will cause the truck to issue an error code.

Try to train at least 3’ straight in and out of any station.

It may be useful to place a marker on the station marker to be trained to so you can see it from a distance. If you use two markers (one at the start and one at the end of the line drawn), you can tell what angle the station was trained at, which will help you align the truck to the proper angle as you approach the station.

If you are training a tight turn, it may be helpful to make the turn in the shape of a light bulb where you turn the Raymond Courier to the opposite side of the turn you want to make, and then swing back sharply to the side of the turn you want to make.

Do not place behaviors on station locations. 2 to 3 inches of minimum distance is required between behaviors and between stations and behaviors.

The Raymond Courier may experience slow down condition if path merges (joins) are not done accurately.
