Training Routes

NOTE: Ramp grade is defined as vertical rise divided by horizontal length, multiplied by 100, and stated as a percent.

5.Drive the truck straight on the ramp until all wheels are on level ground, then stop. Select “1. Exit ramp ”. Continue training the route.

Minimize the distance traveled once all wheels are on level ground. The truck’s sensor ranges are adjusted when Ramp features are programmed. Extended travel on level ground with a Ramp feature engaged may result in the sensors being unable to identify an obstruction.

NOTE: Behaviors may not be programmed while programming a Ramp Zone.

Adding an Uneven Floor Zone

When the automated truck enters an Un even Floor Zone, the light curtain is automatically adjusted up or down the amount programmed during training. This allows the truck to travel without the sensors falsely detecting the change in floor surface as an obstruction.

1.Select “3. Zone (add in route)” from the “Training” screen. Then select “4. Uneven Floor Zone” from the “Add Zone” screen. The “Add Uneven Floor Zone” screen is displayed, as shown in Figure47

2.Enter the values (in millimeters) to adjust the light curtain to allow travel over pitted or non-level floor surfaces without the sensors falsely detecting the change in floor surface as an obstruction. Press the Enter Key.

3.Behaviors or secondary zones may be added within a Zone. To add a behavior or secondary (nested) zone within a zone: a.Press the “Back Arrow” key to return to the “Training” menu. b.Select “1. Behavior (a dd in route)” to add a behavior within the zone or “3. Zone (add in route)” to add a secondary (nested) zone within the zone (for example: to add a slow zone inside an uneven floor zone).

4.To end a zone, re-enter the “Add Zone” menu. The option to exit the zone currently in training will be sh own in the menu. For example: Intersection Zone will be replac ed by End Uneven Floor Zone.
