To Use the Training Tool When training the truck in an aisle, the trainer needs to stay a set distance away from the racks to make the truck drive straight and not create a hazard zone. The laser training tool will also help make sure the Raymond Couriers are trained correctly, and that nothing crosses the stop fields during normal operation, especially during turns. Once the lasers are correctly setup, the trainer drives the Raymond Courier around during programming mode, and keeps the outside laser line on the edge of the aisle or racking. Figure 65. We recommend five lasers be used when training the Raymond Courier: two on each side and one in the front. This allows you to set the “stop field” and the “hazard zone” on each side of the truck and the forward facing stop field at the same time.
