Route Management Manual Introduction
Introduction This manual is intended for those who will be training the truck(s) to operate in automatic mode. These Trainers must be trained and authorized to operate the truck(s). Talk with your supervisor if you have any questions or concerns about operating this truck in either manual or automatic mode. This manual is not a substitute for training; including Pedestrian, Operator and Route Management. General Information
Do not operate this truck in automatic mode in areas with pedestrians unless pedestrian training has been completed. In addition, do not allow pedestrians into areas where automated trucks operate unless this individual has completed pedestrian training.
Vehicles under automatic operation have the right of way. The user is responsible for warning and training personnel and visitors and must mark the facility to appropriately warn personnel.
