Special Instructions Place the synchronizer assembly on a clean, flat surface. Cover the synchronizer assembly with a shop rag to prevent losing the three (3) springs under pressure from the HI range synchronizer pin locations.

Synchronizer LO Synchronizer HI
Procedure 1.
Place the larger LO range synchronizer ring on the bench.
2.
Cover the synchronizer with a shop rag to contain the springs.
3.
Grab both sides of the HI range synchronizer and pull.
4.
From the synchronizer ring LO range pins, remove the sliding clutch.
