Countershaft Assembly How to Disassemble the Countershaft Assembly Special Instructions Never use the PTO gear as a pressing base. The narrow width of this gear can cause breakage.

Procedure From each countershaft front remove the drive gear retaining snap ring.

Using the rear face of 3rd speed gear as a base, press the drive gear, PTO gear, and 3rd speed gear from each countershaft. This removes the front bearing inner race.
3.
Inspect the key and roll pin, remove if damaged.
