Procedure -

1.
If the front bearing cover is still installed, remove the six (6) retaining capscrews and cover. Remove the any remaining gasket material from the case and cover.
2.
From the input shaft groove, remove the bearing retaining snap ring.
3.
Use a soft bar and maul and drive the input shaft toward the case rear as far as possible. Pull the input shaft forward.
4.
Use pry bars or screwdrivers to complete removal of the bearing.
5.
From the drive gear front remove drive gear spacer.
6.
Remove the drive gear internal snap ring.
